Gemstone Beads

Gemstone Beads

Gemstone Beads are featured on some of the most beautiful jewelry designs being created today.  Gemstone Beads feel incredible in your hands and will get your jewelry noticed at your next craft show.  The gemstone beads pictured above are called Tourmaline.  They have an incredible mixture of colors and are amazing to work with.  As a jewelry designer you have so many choices of materials to choose from these days.  This article focuses on our favorite beads to work with, Gemstone Beads.  They are easy to create with, affordable, and stunning to look at.  You do not have to spend days creating your next piece of jewelry when you can let beautiful gemstones beads take center stage and design around them.

Gemstone Beads on a bracelet
The bracelet above features 12x8mm Puff Rondelle Gemstone Beads.  It is surrounded by small glass crystal bicones and metal beads.  A jewelry design like this will take an experienced crafter about an hour to create.  This makes this gemstone bead bracelet a perfect example of the type of jewelry that does well at craft shows.  Some of today's popular seed bead jewelry designs can take days to put together and will not have the same feel as a gemstone bead jewelry piece.

Amethyst Gemstone Beads

The gemstone beads pictured above are called Amethyst.  They are a great example of gemstone beads that are stunning and affordable.  Another great thing about Amethyst is it is a gemstone bead that almost everyone has heard of.  When you create jewelry using Amethyst, and show your jewelry; many people will correctly guess it is Amethyst.  Sometimes, they will ask just to make sure.  Here is a piece of jewelry created using mostly Amethyst Gemstone Beads.  Again, this design will work great for a craft show because it can be created in a short period of time.  This allows it to be a profitable item when you consider how much time you invest in creating your jewelry.

Now we move on to another amazing gemstone bead called Tiger Eye.  Tiger Eye Gemstone Beads have eye catching patterns that will draw you into them.  These are beads that speak for themselves.  They have such mesmerizing patterns for such affordable beads.

Here we have a pair of earrings made with Red Tiger Eye.  Again, easy to create and very attractive.  The Gemstone Beads take center stage and they are accented with some antique copper metal beads and findings.

Aqua Terra Jasper Gemstone Beads are pictured below.  The colors are beautiful and each bead is completely different than the next.  You might think this would make them difficult to create with but it is quite the opposite.  You can use accent beads to pull out the colors from these that you want.

The bracelet pictured below demonstrates how the Aqua Terra Jasper Gemstone Beads are the star of the show.  The accent beads skillfully pull out the different colors of the beads.
