Island Jewel Necklace Free Beaded Jewelry Making Pattern

Materials
28 inches of Silver-Colored .35mm Buddy Braids Beading Wire
1 - Antique Silver-Plated 15x8mm Lobster Clasp
1 - Antique Silver-Plated Split Ring
2 - Antique Silver-Plated Crimp Tubes
2 - Silver-Plated 3mm Crimp Covers
6 - Antique Silver-Plated 11x27mm Rattan Metal Beads
14 - Antique Silver-Plated 4x10mm Diamond Metal Beads
14 - Antique Silver-Plated 2x6mm Flower Beaded Rondelles
7 - Plum AB 12x9mm Glass Crystal Rondelles
14 - Blue Diamond AB 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelles
14 - Crystal AB 11x7mm Glass Crystal Teardrops

Create the Necklace

1. String one crimp tube onto one end of the Buddy Braids about a ½” from the end. 

2. String the loop of the Lobster clasp onto the same end of the Buddy Braids the crimp tube is on.

3. String the Buddy Braids back through the crimp tube.  See Illustration 1.

4. Take a pair of Crimping Pliers and squeeze the crimp tube until you cannot pull the Buddy Braids back through.  Do not trim the excess; simply string the beads on both ends of the Buddy Braids.

5. Add a Silver-Plated Crimp Bead Cover by placing it over the crimp tube and squeezing it closed.  See Illustration 2.

6. Thread the following:
a. 1 - Blue Diamond 8x5mm Rondelle, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 2x6mm Flower Rondelle, 1 - Crystal AB 11x7mm Teardrop (large end first), 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4x10mm Diamond Metal Bead, 1 - Plum AB 12x9mm Rondelle, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4x10mm Diamond Metal Bead, 1 - Crystal AB 11x7mm Teardrop (small end first), 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 2x6mm Flower Rondelle, 1 - Blue Diamond 8x5mm Rondelle, and 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 11x27mm Rattan Metal Bead. 

b. Repeat pattern in Step (a.) FIVE times.

c. 1 - Blue Diamond 8x5mm Rondelle, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 2x6mm Flower Rondelle, 1 - Crystal AB 11x7mm Teardrop large end first), 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4x10mm Diamond Metal Bead, 1 - Plum AB 12x9mm Rondelle, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4x10mm Diamond Metal Bead, 1 - Crystal AB 11x7mm Teardrop (small end first), 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 2x6mm Flower Rondelle, and 1 - Blue Diamond 8x5mm Rondelle.

7. String one crimp tube and one split ring.

8. Take your Buddy Braids and string back through the crimp tube.  String the Buddy Braids through several of the last beads you added.  Pull the Buddy Braids tight making the split ring close to the crimp tube.  See Illustration 3.  While holding the Buddy Braids use your pliers and squeeze the crimp tube so the Buddy Braids will not pull out.  Trim the extra Buddy Braids.

You are done!!  These directions make a necklace that is approximately 26 inches long.  If you need to change the length just add or subtract beads.  You can use this pattern with any color beads you wish!!
