Materials
26 inches of Silver-Colored Buddy Braids
1 – Antique Silver-Plated 15x8mm Lobster Clasp
1 – Antique Silver-Plated Split Ring
2 – Antique Silver-Plated Crimp Tubes
14 – Antique Silver-Plated 5x10mm Square Bead Caps
30 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelles
14 – Antique Silver-Plated 4mm Corrugated Bicone Metal Beads
14 - Metallic Purple 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelles
14 – Chalk White Terracotta Red 6mm Czech Fire-Polished Beads
24 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Rounds
7 - Light Rose 12mm Czech Fire-Polished Beads
Create the Beaded Necklace
1. Start the necklace by taking a crimp tube and string it onto one end of the Buddy Braids about a 1/2 inch from the end.
2. Take the clasp and string it onto the same end of the Buddy Braids the crimp tube is on.
3. Take your Buddy Braids and string it back through the crimp tube.
4. Take a pair of Crimping Pliers and squeeze the crimp tube until you cannot pull the Buddy Braids back through. Do not trim the excess; simply string the beads on both ends of the Buddy Braids.
5. Thread the following:
a. 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle, 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle, 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle, 1 - Metallic Purple 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4mm Corrugated Bicone Metal Bead, 1 - Chalk White Red Terracotta 6mm Czech Fire-Polished Bead, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 5x10mm Square Bead Cap, 1 - Light Rose 12mm Czech Fire-Polished Bead, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 5x10mm Square Bead Cap, 1 - Chalk White Red Terracotta 6mm Czech Fire-Polished Bead, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 4mm Corrugated Bicone Metal Bead, 1 - Metallic Purple 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, and 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle.
b. Repeat Pattern in Step (a.) SIX (6) times.
c. 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle, 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round, 1 - Antique Silver-Plated 1.5x4mm Beaded Rondelle, and 1 – Red Plum Blossom 8mm Semiprecious Round.
6. Thread one crimp tube and one split ring.
7. Take your Buddy Braids and string back through the crimp tube. String the Buddy Braids through the last several beads you added. Pull the Buddy Braids tight making the split ring close to the crimp tube. See Below. While holding the Buddy Braids use your pliers and squeeze the crimp tube so the Buddy Braids will not pull out. Trim the extra Buddy Braids.
You’re done!! These directions make a necklace that is approximately 22 inches long. If you need to change the length just add or subtract beads. You can use this pattern with any color beads you wish!!
