Mountain Sunset Necklace Free Beaded Jewelry Making Pattern

Materials
26 inches of Antique Copper-Colored 0.35mm Buddy Braids
1 – Antique Copper Toggle Clasp
2 – Antique Copper 2x1mm Crimp Beads
2 – Antique Copper 4mm Crimp Covers
22 – Antique Copper 6x13mm 3-Branch Bead Caps
24 – Antique Copper 3x4mm Thick Rondelle Metal Beads
22 – Antique Copper 2x6mm Beaded Rondelle Metal Beads
24 – Antique Copper 4mm Ridged Round Metal Beads
11 – Turquoise 12mm Czech Fire Polished Bead
36 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelles

1. Take one end of your Buddy Braids wire and thread 1 crimp bead approximately an inch from the end.  Thread the bar end of your toggle clasp.  Thread the end back through the crimp bead.  Using crimping pliers (or any pliers you have) squeeze the crimp bead about a 1/4th of an inch away from the clasp.  See illustration 1.  Trim the excess leaving about a half an inch, you will thread the beads over both.

2. Add your crimp cover by placing it over your crimp bead and squeezing it closed.  See Illustration 2.

3. String the following:
a. 1 – Antique Copper 4mm Ridged Round, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 3x4mm Thick Rondelle, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 3x4mm Thick Rondelle, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 4mm Ridged Round, 1 – Antique Copper 2x6mm Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 6x13mm 3-Branch Bead Cap, 1 – Turquoise 12mm Czech Fire Polished Bead, 1 – Antique Copper 6x13mm 3-Branch Bead Cap (squeeze the bead cap shaping it around the bead), and 1 – Antique Copper 2x6mm Rondelle.

b. Repeat Pattern in Step (a.) 10 times.

c. 1 – Antique Copper 4mm Ridged Round, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 3x4mm Thick Rondelle, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, 1 – Antique Copper 3x4mm Thick Rondelle, 1 – Gold 8x5mm Glass Crystal Rondelle, and 1 – Antique Copper 4mm Ridged Round.

4. Thread 1 crimp bead and the round part of your toggle clasp.  Thread the wire back through the crimp bead after going through the loop on the toggle clasp.  Thread the wire through several beads (see illustration 3).  Using your pliers, squeeze the crimp bead about a 1/4th of an inch away from the clasp and an 1/8th of inch away from the last bead to have room for your crimp cover.  Trim the excess wire as close to the bead as you can.

5. Add your crimp cover by placing it over your crimp bead and squeezing it closed.

You are done!  These directions make a necklace that is approximately 22 inches long.  If you need to change the length just add or subtract beads.  You can use this beaded jewelry making pattern with any color beads you wish!
